My recommendation would be to go to a brick and mortar store in your area that sells and repairs PC.
My personal experience is that powerful wizards work there that can work miracles with a PC, even if it is ancient. Sadly, those stores are driven out of business by shortsighted people who buy their hardware at Amazon. If you have the money, maybe buy a new mousepad or a nice external hard drive while you are there - so they will still be around the next time you require their aid...
